The National Portal of India – india.gov.in has been developed with an objective to enable a single window access to information and services being provided by the various Indian Government entities.

The content of this Portal is the result of a collaborative effort of various Indian Government Ministries and Departments, at the Central/State/District level. This Portal is Mission Mode Project under the National E-Governance Plan, designed and maintained by National Informatics Centre (NIC), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.

There have been constant endeavours to enhance and enrich this Portal in terms of content, design and technology on a regular basis.
