e-VIVECHNA App or e-Investigation App is a software provided to
IOs which is loaded in portable tablets to capture details of scene
of crime like photo/videos, statements of witnesses and filling
case diary. e-Vivechna app has 03 modules namely-1. Case Diary
2. Photography/Videography 3. Scene of Crime Details form. The
app is helping in performing transparent working of Police and
giving credibility to the most important work of investigation in
policing. It has also led to an increase in trust of Hon Courts in
police investigations. As a mark of trust investigation documents
e-sign through e-pen /stylus in e-vivechna application has been
made admissible in the court of law.

The need of the hour is to be tech-aided, fast, just & transparent. MP Police is the first state in the country to
conceptualise, launch and operate the e-investigation app successfully with 80000+ case diaries on it. This
initiative has already caught the eye of various stakeholders of the criminal justice system like Hon’ Courts, NIC,
NCRB, FICCI and Digital India initiation of Meity.

Key highlight :

Evidence can be collected on the scene of crime itself and are linked with respective FIR on spot.
The evidence and statements are geotagged & time stamped which cannot be tempered subsequently

Automated & Accurate Latitude, Longitude details are captured

“Voice to text” feature of Tabs helps in fast & easy data entry
It has eliminated subjectivity and human error which has led to transparency in investigation
