‘Ksheerasree’ portal was conceived by the
Department of Dairy Development, Govt. of Kerala
and was developed by NIC to address the needs of
the dairy sector in the state. The Dairy Development
Department offers several subsidy schemes targeting
dairy farmers. The portal ensures perfect integration
and interoperability between multiple departments by
sharing data using APIs.
The dairy farmers need not visit any office and need not bring any document to prove their entitlements
to receive the subsidy benefits. The PDS integration provides the ration card data, Revenue Department
integration provides land ownership data and Treasury Department integration enables subsidy transfer
via e DBT mode directly to their bank accounts.
More than two lakh forty thousand dairy farmers and more than 3000 dairy cooperative societies are
registered in the portal as of now. More than 25 crores of rupees have been transferred as subsidy benefits
through the portal. Portal ensures transparency and efficiency in offering G2C, G2B and G2G services.
Almost seven of the UN sustainable development goals are linked to the sector.
The entire workflow is fully automated with fully automated beneficiary selection. The priority list and
waiting list are generated in the portal in a fully automated manner following the criteria prescribed in the
govt. approved Detailed Project Report of each scheme. There is no manual intervention in the portal other
than the physical verification of implementation by officials of the department. After implementation of
schemes like cattle purchase, cattle shed construction and fodder cultivation etc, the farmers can enter
the data regarding the expenditure and upload vouchers or bills and other details also in the portal. The
subsidy amount will get credited to the farmer bank accounts directly enabling e DBT.
